In summer a number of change occurs in body as well as atmospher. The atmosphere is become very hot and temprature may be as 40 - 60 degree even more at serveral places. Asthma is a notorius disease of respiratory tract. the airway is blocked by broncoconstriction or some exudates secreated during allergic reaction.Here I am going to tell you the Effect of Vacha (acromus calamus)also known as sadgratha. last sunday (17/09/2006) one call come on my mobile phone and the person on other side was a female with weak voice. she tell me that she have some respiratory problems please come soon. I went to her house to look her. there I found she was leaving alone, i call her nehbour for assistance. and after auscultation i found that her lungs fild with rals and ronchi.she also has taken deriphyline tablete four hour before but still she did not get any relief. i gave her vacha poweder about 250mg to kept in her mouth. within 10 minute she start coughing and a lot of mucousal sticky thick sputum come out form her and she get some relief in respiration. now i gave her steam inhalation to increase blood cerculation. after 20 minute the lungs sound change in ronchi obstruction due to mucous was released. after that bronchiodilators herbal drugs were given. now she is feeling better.

In Ayurveda, a number of remedies are available which prepare from herbs, mineral, oil, fat, bone marrow and animal products. Ayurveda is not only rich in its medicine but it wonderful in surgical field also. If disease not cures with medicine then surgical and Para surgical method adopted for treating the disease. Surgical and Para surgical techniques are unique. Surgery performed under eight principal –
1. Chedana (excision)
2. Bhedana (incision)
3. Lekhana (scraping or curettage)
4. Eshana (exploration or probing)
5. Aharana (extraction)
6. Vedana (puncturing)
7. Visravana (Blood letting
8. Sivana (Suturing)
The Surgery is performed in emergency where other tool fail or inadequate to get result. There are several parasurgical tools also used such as Kshara karama, Agni karma, Makshika karma, Kshara sutra Chikitsa, Raktamokshana, Apachi karma. All the parasurgical tools & methods are unique and every tool has its own utility.

The Prakriti

Prakriti is an important factor in our life. It tells about the nature of body and mental attitude. Prakriti is formed at the time of birth and it can not be change throughout of the life. According to Ayurveda, there is two type of Prakriti (1) Sareerika or Physical (2) Mansika or Mental. These Prakriti has effect on physical mental and physiological activity of a person. The proper treatment of a person can be performed after knowing the Prakriti. The Sareerika Prakriti is based on Dosha and it is seven types i.e. Vataja, Pittaja, Kaphaja, Vataja-Pittaja, Pittaja-Kaphaja, Kaphaja-Vataja and Tridoshaja. The Mansika Prakriti (Mental nature) is three types i.e. Satvika, Rajsika and Tamsika. These Mansika Prakriti is further subdivided in to 7, 6 and 3 types respectively
